KuglerSierra Nevada Region members had to speak up to be heard at the 2009 Planning Party at BJ’s Restaurant. And speak up they did, with the results yielding a year filled with a wide variety of activities to suit all tastes. Thirty-six members attended the festivities and both new and old members came forth and volunteered to host events. New members Guy & Donna Archambault enthusiastically took on the job of hosting the St. Patrick’s Day Party. Mary Zanella came prepared to plan a driving tour out to the colorful town of Winnemucca for a “Drive and Mine” tour. Gilbert Dayao, in addition to hosting technical events, is masterminding a trip to the Blackhawk Museum in July. The dynamic duo of Craig & Mary Lou Kugler volunteered to host a scenic driving tour to Mammoth in August.

Julia and “Buzz” Lynn, long time PCA members, took on the formidable job of hosting the SNR Silver State Concours in September. Energetic Debbie Dell has already gotten plans together for another spectacular Christmas Gala.

In addition, we have a variety of other amusements planned to tempt members and their cars out of the garage including the Porsche Corral at the Reno Historics, Fall Wine Tour, Charity Show & Shine and a number of Tech Sessions. Believe it or not, there’s room for more. Keep your eye on the SNR web site and be sure to check The Circular for upcoming events. Thank you to all those that have agreed to make 2009 a year of Porsche camaraderie. Club events are designed to give members the opportunity to enjoy their beautiful cars in the company of others with the same enthusiasm for Porsche and life. So let’s get out, drive our cars and have some fun together!
